Overview
QuoteNimble is an estimating tool for contractors and small service businesses. This policy explains what information is stored locally on your device, what is stored online when you use an account, sharing, or contact features, and how that information is used.
Account information
If you create a contractor account, QuoteNimble uses Supabase Auth to store your email address, authentication records, and any business name you provide during signup. Your password is handled by the authentication provider and is not stored in QuoteNimble's estimate database. Authentication session tokens may be stored in your browser so you can remain signed in.
Account-saved estimates
When you are signed in and save an estimate to history, QuoteNimble stores that estimate online under your contractor account so it can be available on other devices where you sign in. Account-saved estimates may include your business and contact details, customer name, customer email and phone, job address and description, line items, quantities, rates, totals, scope, terms, trade, and save/update timestamps.
Existing estimate history that was saved locally before cloud sync became available may be migrated into the first contractor account you sign in to on that browser.
Customer directory
Signed-in contractors can store reusable customer contacts under their account, including customer name, email, phone, address, notes, and timestamps. QuoteNimble may create customer-directory entries from customer details already present in account-saved estimates so prior quote history can be organized by customer.
Information stored on your device
Draft estimates, saved rates, an account-specific cache of synced estimate history, and the convenient list of share links may be stored in your browser's local storage. Guest estimate history stays on the device unless it is later migrated into a signed-in contractor account. Clearing browser or site data can remove local drafts, rates, caches, and share-link lists, but it does not by itself delete account-saved estimates already stored online.
Information stored when you share an estimate
When you create a customer share link, QuoteNimble stores an estimate snapshot online so the link can work across devices. That snapshot may include your business name and contact details, customer name, job address and description, line items, quantities, rates, totals, scope, terms, share status, and creation time.
For signed-in contractors, QuoteNimble may also associate the current customer share link with the contractor's saved estimate and store delivery status, sent time, the first time a customer-facing quote page is loaded, approval status, approver name, and approval time so the dashboard can show Draft, Sent, Viewed, and Approved states. If a sent estimate is later edited, the dashboard may treat the newer saved version as Draft until it is sent again.
For new tracked acceptances, the customer is asked to enter a name and affirm an explicit acceptance statement. QuoteNimble may store a contractor-readable acceptance receipt containing the approver name, acceptance statement, acceptance timestamp, accepted total, scope, terms, the exact estimate snapshot shown at acceptance, the related share code, and a SHA-256 fingerprint of that snapshot. Contractor browser access to acceptance receipts is read-only.
The acceptance feature records an action associated with the link; it does not independently verify a person's identity, legal authority, or provide a qualified digital signature.
Transactional estimate email
When a signed-in contractor sends an estimate by email, QuoteNimble may send a transactional message to the customer email stored on that estimate. QuoteNimble stores the recipient address, send time, provider message identifier, and whether the send request succeeded or failed. The email contains a private estimate link and may use the contractor's account email as the reply-to address.
A Viewed status means the customer-facing estimate page was loaded through the tracked link. It is a workflow signal, not proof that a particular person read or understood the estimate; automated link scanners or shared links can also cause a view.
Contact messages
If you use the About & Contact form, QuoteNimble stores the name you provide, your email address, the selected topic, your message, and the submission time so the request can be reviewed and answered. Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, Social Security numbers, or other highly sensitive information through the form.
Technical and usage information
QuoteNimble records limited first-party product events such as page views, estimate generation and saving, account signup milestones, quote sending and viewing, approvals, and subscription-flow milestones. This product analytics uses randomly generated identifiers stored for the current browser-tab session, the page path, selected language, and a short event label. When you are signed in, an event may also be associated with your QuoteNimble account identifier.
QuoteNimble does not put estimate descriptions, customer names, customer contact details, job addresses, line-item text, or payment-card information into its product-analytics event records. Hosting and database providers may also process ordinary request metadata, such as IP address, browser information, and timestamps, to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
QuoteNimble does not sell personal information and does not use customer estimate data for behavioral advertising.
How information is used
- To create and authenticate contractor accounts.
- To create and display estimates and customer share links.
- To save and show delivery, first-view, approval status, and acceptance receipts.
- To send customer estimate emails when direct email delivery is enabled.
- To respond to support, privacy, bug, and business inquiries.
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve QuoteNimble.
- To comply with legal obligations when required.
Service providers
QuoteNimble currently uses Railway for application hosting, Supabase for authentication, database, and Edge Function infrastructure, and Resend for transactional estimate email delivery. Those providers process data needed to provide their services and may maintain their own operational logs under their policies.
Share-link privacy
A QuoteNimble share URL acts like a bearer link: anyone who obtains the complete link can view that estimate. Treat customer links as private and send them only to people who should have access. Do not post them publicly unless you intend the estimate to be publicly viewable.
Retention and deletion
Local browser data remains on the device until you delete it or browser/site data is cleared. Account-saved estimates and customer contacts remain associated with your account until you delete them from the dashboard or request account/data deletion. Deleting a customer contact or editable estimate does not automatically delete a previously recorded acceptance receipt. Shared estimates, acceptance receipts, approvals, and contact messages may remain stored while they are needed to operate the service, resolve requests, maintain records, or meet legal obligations.
You can request deletion or ask a privacy question through the About & Contact page. Include enough information to locate the data, but do not send sensitive credentials.
Security
QuoteNimble uses technical measures designed to limit direct public database access and keep server-side credentials out of browser code. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so avoid entering information that is not needed for an estimate.
Children
QuoteNimble is intended for business and commercial use and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as QuoteNimble adds accounts, billing, integrations, or other features. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are published.
